Press Release - C&C's Oldest Air Conditioner / Heat Pump Contest - C&C Heating & Air Conditioning

C&C Heating and Air Conditioning Seeks The Oldest Air Conditioner in Montgomery and Bucks County

C&C is looking for the oldest air conditioner in Montgomery and Bucks County and will give its owner a new air conditioner as part of an effort to highlight the potential for energy saving from new cooling equipment.

C&C wants to find the oldest air conditioner and replace it with a free air conditioner or heat pump to show homeowners how much energy savings is possible from a cooling system upgrade.

“We felt this contest was a good way to draw attention to the potential to save a lot of money by upgrading an old cooling system”, said Doug Cordero from C&C Heating and Air Conditioning. “There are some very old cooling systems around town and homeowners are wasting a lot of money by continuing to operate them.”

According to Mr. Cordero, any air conditioner more than 15 years old is a ripe candidate for replacement, especially if the efficiency was 10 SEER or less when new. “As mechanical equipment ages, it’s performance degrades and becomes less efficient and when faced with an expensive repair, it often makes financial sense, peace-of-mind sense, and comfort sense to replace your system,” said Cordero.

Homeowners who believe they might have the oldest air conditioner or heat pump in the area are encouraged to complete C&C’s online entry form found on their website at or drop by C&C booth # 113 at the Philadelphia Home and Garden Show, February 15-17 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA and fill out an entry in person, or visit them at their office located at 800 Hagey Road, Souderton, PA 18964. Entries will be checked for age and the winner will be selected by March 15th.
